We love guest posts, but we do get many\u00a0requests on a daily basis. As such,\u00a0we prefer topic pitches over completed submissions so we can better track and more quickly respond to them. That being said, here are some best practices that will help us to respond to you faster\u00a0and, if your topic is a go, get it published sooner.<\/p>\n

  • Familiarize with the\u00a0Renwileducate blog.<\/strong>\u00a0Read a few posts in full, and then do some skimming and exploring to get a feel for our tone and our basic format.<\/li>\n
  • Come with ideas.\u00a0<\/strong>We love it when you come to us with topic ideas or ideally, titles.<\/li>\n
  • Check to see if we\u2019ve published your topic already.<\/strong>\u00a0If we’ve already published a similar post, consider whether you could write something more up-to-date, or\u00a0approach\u00a0it with a fresh angle or different perspective.

    The best way to see if we’ve covered your topic is to do a site search on Google:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      What we need in your guest post<\/h2>\n

      Once we agree on a topic and you get the go-ahead to start writing, make sure you provide the following:<\/p>\n

      • Adequate length:<\/strong> 700-800 words please!<\/li>\n
      • Renwileducate links:\u00a0<\/strong>We’ll add more internal links when we’re editing the post, but ~3 WS links you add\u00a0to the post would be great.<\/li>\n
      • A short bio at the end:\u00a0<\/strong>1-3 sentences about who you are, what you do, and\/or what you’re passionate about. Feel free to include links to your business website, LinkedIn profile,\u00a0or social media handles.\u00a0<\/li>\n
      • Images:\u00a0<\/strong>All Renwileducate posts include one image early in the introduction, and additional images\u00a0every 200-300 words.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • We require images every 2-300 words whenever possible.<\/li>\n
        • No stock photos please.\u00a0<\/li>\n
        • Images don’t have to be original (although those are great), just be sure to cite the image by hyperlinking\u00a0“Image source” at the bottom.<\/li>\n
        • Image ideas (not an exhaustive list)<\/strong>\n

          • Platform screenshots of tactical processes.<\/li>\n
          • Graphs, charts, and other visuals.<\/li>\n
          • Real-world examples of the strategy or tactic you are describing.<\/li>\n
          • Recycled Renwileducate images\u2014do a site search\u00a0in Google images<\/strong>\u00a0(site:renwileducate.com [image you are looking for] (without the brackets)\u00a0to see if we have one you can recycle.<\/li>\n
          • Google Images- cite the source!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

            • Paste them\u00a0right into the Google\u00a0doc and we can save them off of there.<\/li>\n
            • Zoom in before taking screenshots to avoid too-small or pixelated images. Do not take them on external monitors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              There are a ton of guest posts on our blog with great topics, interesting titles, unique perspectives, high-quality images, actionable advice, and engaged readers.<\/p>\n

              Response time to your pitch<\/h3>\n

              This is provided your pitch meets the requirements above (is complete with information about yourself, writing samples, and topic ideas).<\/em><\/p>\n

              We do our best to respond to pitches within 1-2 weeks.\u00a0If you haven\u2019t received a response\u00a0after 3\u00a0weeks, please do follow up.<\/p>\n

              We’ll collaborate on the topic\/title and ask you to provide an outline.\u00a0Once we’ve reviewed your outline, we’ll let you know whether we\u2019ll consider a draft.<\/p>\n

              Just like your pitch, we do our best to review drafts within 1-2 weeks. Follow up after 2 weeks if you haven’t heard back.<\/p>\n

              If the draft does not meet our quality standards (i.e., it cannot be improved without heavy edits), we will not move forward with the post.<\/p>\n
